After a sell out exhibition at The Tabernacle in 2014 Italian artist Monica Maja Richardson returns to the iconic venue to present her new works: Pieces of Heart, from June 30th – July 5th 2015.

Following a successful career as a movie TV presenter in Italy, Maja Richardson moved to London in 2004 and focused on her passion for painting. She spent eight years in her studio experimenting with a variety of tools and colour palettes, taking inspiration from the likes of Richter and Pollock and developing her own unique and freethinking style.

In 2012 she decided to exhibit her work for the first time. Within two hours of the opening in her local Kensal Rise, all seventeen of her paintings had sold giving Maja Richardson the confidence to further develop her colour palettes and have a second exhibition eighteen months later.

That exhibition, Colours, in Notting Hill’s The Tabernacle in 2014, was also a sell out. Fourteen months later, with Pieces of Heart, Maja Richardson has elaborated on her first two exhibitions to create a collection full of new emotion, new calm, new techniques - and pieces of her heart.
