Graphic Studio Gallery is very pleased to announce an exhibition by a Belfast based artist, Lisa Malone, opening on Thursday 5th February between 6pm - 8pm.

Malone’s works often present alternate worlds; exploring the narratives between singular beings and the world at large: looking at structures; containment; people’s interactions with each other and the landscapes they have created for themselves.

This new body of work suggests that the containment of these worlds may be slipping; sometimes expanding; fragmenting often in flux.

This series uses techniques from mezzotint, photo polymer intaglio, mono and screen-printing to reveal an intimate view of the world and asks questions about our place in it.

Lisa Malone is based at Flax Art Studios, Belfast and also works with Belfast Print Workshops. She completed a BA Fine and Applied Art at the University of Ulster and has taken part in residencies in New York, the Banff Centre in Canada, the Digital Arts Studios, and Belfast. Her work has been exhibited both in Ireland and internationally, including: Spain; Canada; China; America. She has received funding from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland including SIAP and Residency Awards. This body of work has been developed with the support of the Arts Council Northern Ireland.
