Fredericks & Freiser presents Roller rink, a summer group exhibition bringing together more than forty artists whose works celebrate the diversity, unpredictability, and energy of contemporary painting and drawing. On view from June 18 through July 31, 2026, the exhibition embraces a wide range of artistic voices, creating a lively presentation in which emerging and established artists share the gallery space. Conceived as an open and dynamic encounter, Roller rink invites viewers to experience contemporary art through an atmosphere of movement, spontaneity, and discovery.

Inspired by the spirit of an open roller-skating session, the exhibition juxtaposes distinct styles, sensibilities, and visual languages without imposing a single curatorial narrative. Like skaters moving across the same rink at different speeds and with different levels of confidence, the participating artists engage in a collective presentation where virtuosity coexists with experimentation, precision with improvisation, and polished execution with moments of productive uncertainty. The exhibition celebrates the richness of contemporary artistic practice by allowing these individual approaches to unfold in conversation with one another.
