Featuring artwork by students attending Dillard University and Xavier University of Louisiana.
Ogden Museum of Southern Art and The New Orleans Chapter of The Links, Incorporated are proud to present the 13th Annual HBCU Art Showcase.
Established 13 years ago, this partnership was created to celebrate the artistic achievements of students enrolled at Louisiana’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Since its inception, the HBCU Art Showcase has been presented annually in the Museum’s Education Gallery, a space dedicated to highlighting arts education and student artwork from across the American South.
Exploring the diversity of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives that artists and audiences bring to the museum experience is central to the mission of Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Through the HBCU Art Showcase, the Museum is honored to support and elevate the creative voices of emerging artists while fostering a broader understanding of Southern identity and culture.
The New Orleans Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, extends its gratitude to the students, professors and Ogden Museum staff whose dedication and vision make this exhibition possible. The HBCU Art Showcase continues to be an important celebration of student achievement and a valued part of the Museum’s exhibition program.
