A project combining graphics and photography, dedicated to Ukrainian refugees, their difficult journey, and the memories they brought with them across borders. For the artist, this journey is symbolized by a knotted red thread, connecting people, things, personal stories, the past, and the future. This project consists of several parts.
The first part is devoted to roads and paths, the vast number of people crossing borders. The exhibition tells the story of migration caused by war and the damage it inflicts on ordinary people. Various women and children face the impossibility of finding their place, their home, and struggle to find their bearings in a new, alien reality.
Nadya Mitskevitch is an artist. She participates in international exhibitions and festivals. In 2022, Nadya Mitskevitch came to Poland from Ukraine as a war refugee. In Poland, she took up photography, combining it with graphic design. Her works are presented annually in collective outdoor exhibitions of the Association of Polish Art Photographers (ZPAF). She lives and works in Warsaw.
