How does one bring love, the essence of all life, the glue that connects us all, the power of which makes the world go round, into one of the most conflicted, ego-centered, dark corners of human endeavor, politics, where it is considered an inappropriate and silly as it sounds, “a bad” word?

This is the game I’m proposing here in this series. It’s a challenge because it’s radical and a conversation most people in power don’t seem to want to have. Or they toss the word “love” around glibly, such as “I love Xi, I love Putin, and I love McDonald’s cheeseburgers”. It’s pretty meaningless.

But it is the conversation that can take us to the next operating level of humanity, an evolutionary leap and paradigm shift all rolled into one regarding how to govern and how government can be of real help to the People it’s there to serve.

Brief recap of part 1 in “The Game”

In Part 1, I addressed pressing concerns of the current Administration so we can deal in a practical way with what’s in motion “on the ground”. Immigration, drugs, and superiority-inferiority among ethnic groups in respect to the ruling class in a country that revolted against a ruling class some 250 years ago, such that it would never come back again, though it has.

In dealing with immigration, if you want to get underneath the forces driving them, one needs to look at the economics of prisons and detention centers. Alas, we see that large companies hold government contracts and make billions to house undocumented immigrants.

Billions of our hard-earned tax dollars are being spent to oppress1 and in some cases, shackle, torture2 and enslave our brothers and sisters, our neighbors, and those who pick the nuts and berries3 that are on our breakfast table.

In my administration, as mentioned in Part 1, that all goes “bye-bye”. That unethical detention and unconscionable treatment cease to exist. The government will own and operate any such facility, and it will be inherently civil, clean, and allow the men, women, and children to be there for as short a time as possible in a dignified manner. We are not going to allow incarceration-for-profit and undignified, inhumane treatment under any circumstances.

Another major point made in Part 1 was the importance of formally apologizing to all ethnicities that have been harmed by the U.S. government, and there are many, and the request for forgiveness. This is a necessary step in rebuilding a community of diverse people and re-establishing dignity for people and the nation.

Honoring the indigenous elders of Turtle Island and asking for their wise counsel on a Cabinet level would come to pass. If we, as a nation, are fortunate, they will accept our request to be of such counsel.

To recap drugs, on the macro-level, the point was made that where there is no demand, there is no supply.

We need to appreciate and understand why people engage in drugs in the first place. While there is a natural, human curiosity about altered states of consciousness, which I feel is a healthy impulse up to a certain point, and this accounts for some kinds of drug use, typically entheogens, the other main reason is that people are in physical or emotional pain, they are suffering, and drugs momentarily block the suffering.

The excellent work of psychologist Dr. Andrew Tatarsky4 provides a new framework for understanding addictions, providing a humane, dignified approach that has gained global success. The work of Dr. Martin Polanco, in the responsible use of Ibogaine through his foundation, The Mission Within5, has seen significant success with addictions as well as brain injuries and PTSD in war veterans.

For a fraction of the cost and pain of this current Administration’s immigrant, ICE, and detention policies and then of its drug trafficking and treatment policies, my Administration would be restoring dignity and respect to immigrants and Americans alike who suffer from addictions.

The result would be much happier, stable communities across the country with a vastly reduced number of people using drugs or alcohol, for that matter, and hence the reduction of fatalities and crime. The solutions are much easier than currently considered.

Next steps in The Game

The next big step is “healthcare”.

Healthcare—what the heck is this again? Let’s deconstruct it

First, there is the name “healthcare,” which, in our country, is a misnomer. It is better called “disease-maintenance”. By recognizing this distinction, we can really enter the exciting domain of “real healthcare”. I’m calling real healthcare first, the power of our own immune system, our mind, and the abundance of healing plants, from foods to herbs, which Nature has provided. It is also what has been cultivated in culture for thousands of years across the world, known as traditional medicine.

Deep healing comes from our relationship with and knowledge of Nature. It has to do with plant wisdom, knowledge of herbs, of food-as-medicine, the sanctity and nourishment of water, and the power of breath. It involves movement, from sport to dance to walking. It comes from knowledge of Self through contemplation, meditation, reflection.

All of these provide profound forms of healing in themselves prior to the intervention of a doctor or even an acupuncturist.

In short, high-quality healthcare is largely self-care. Historically, it’s always been this way. The family and oneself are the “doctors”, the healers. Healing modalities and herbal knowledge are passed on in families for generations.

If someone is dealing with a more serious imbalance or illness that requires a doctor, this level of care would be available for those who request it or need that specific kind of intervention, but bear in mind, allopathic intervention, while it has great value, is one among many.

Knowing and understanding the etymology of the word “heal” is sine qua non

The word heal originates in the Indo-European and ancient Greek words meaning “whole” and “holy”. These two ideas are inextricably intertwined. Regarding the body simply as a machine and diagnosing and treating it only with machines misses the entire meaning and point of healing.

True, there is a mechanical function of the body-mind as well, but that’s only one of the many, and the others also need to be addressed—body-mind and spirit, for full healing.

The exciting use of the earliest and latest technologies for healing

We have always harnessed the power of sound for healing, and today we have the science that explains how this healing occurs—we understand the effect on physiology.

We have the use of light (red light therapy, for instance), the use of pulsed electro-magnetic impulses, of magnets themselves, of touch, chiropractic, osteopathy, naturopathy, homeopathy, ayurvedic medicine, food-as-medicine, traditional Chinese Medicine, deep-tissue massage, energy medicine using bio-feedback and neuro-feedback, shamanic medicine, the list goes on.

Healing can be fun and joyous. Even grieving is curative.

As mentioned, while most of these have long histories of use and effectiveness, today we have the added benefit of scientific understanding of what they do to the body, brain, and mind.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure

By the way, these are also preventative in nature, keeping people healthy into their 80s, 90s, and in some cases 100s. The entire field of medicine under my Administration would be utterly transformed from disease-based to preventative and optimum-health-based.

Again, it would cost a fraction of what today’s “disease-care” costs every American.

My Administration’s approach will be inviting Americans to a different orientation to health, wellness, and healing to return to the traditional ways, yet with the option of modern medicine as needed.

Iatrogenic illness and fatalities

What we have found in today’s healthcare system is that there are so many operations, procedures, and prescribed medications far beyond what is needed because the profit motive is so pivotal in today’s healthcare system. Billions of dollars are wasted6 every month across the country.

The former largely entails the administration of medications, often with a long list of “side effects” that are much longer than their therapeutic ones. By and large, the purpose isn’t to cure disease but to relieve symptoms. This is old news!

Many people get further ill from the treatment more than the illness, Iatrogenic illness and fatalities7are listed as the third leading cause of death in the U.S.

With Goldman Sachs’ review of the healthcare industry8, it is no surprise that the private equity firms that own a large share of hospitals and healthcare facilities don’t cure anyone but seek to maintain varying levels of sickness of their patients. This is a horror show underlying our healthcare system that few know consciously about, though many “smell a rat”.

Allopathic medicine is awesome emergency medicine

Certainly, we all know that allopathic medicine for emergencies is superb, and for this purpose, it excels. Stopping bleeding, saving limbs, and emergency surgeries are often life-saving and for which we are all grateful. Emergency-trained doctors are some of the most highly trained and compassionate doctors to be found anywhere and deserve our highest respect, as well as those who volunteer their services in war-torn countries, putting their own lives at risk to help others. These are heroes of our society.

Beyond that, and with some true exceptions, one should be looking to the long-time, proven healing powers of herbs, food, traditional energy-based medicines such as Chinese and Ayur Veda, movement, play, laughter, love and engaging the powerful healing strength of the mind.

The healthcare system costs too much, provides too little, excludes many, and is broken

The main problem we find is not with doctors and nurses themselves, who are usually extremely and laudably committed to their work, but with the high-profit system9 in which they are obliged to operate, which not infrequently compromises the quality of their work and integrity.

It has led to many [doctors and nurses]10 leaving the field.

The content, structure, and design of universal, real healthcare

There is no need to reinvent the wheel. Europe has competently designed such systems on which we can model our own. All the Scandinavian countries, France, Germany, and the U.K. have all designed such systems with overall great benefit to their people, far better than the U.S., which is completely broken.

I would propose an “Optimum Health System” which doesn’t deal with disease much at all but focuses on empowering the health, well-being, and immune systems of our people by designing lifestyles that are about supporting optimum health.

A healthy lifestyle as a way to sustain and improve health is as old as the oldest mountain ranges. It’s only the profit motive in Western medicine with its hubris that suggests differently. Hippocrates is who said in paraphrase: “Let food be thy medicine” some 2,400 years ago, and even then it wasn’t new.

But there’s no money in that, so the idea fell into desuetude, right to the dust heap of history, that is, until now.

In my Administration, no more polluting and toxifying our water, food, our kids, or ourselves!

In Jesus’ time, the Essenes were said to have done their form of colonics and were very attuned to fasting and healthy eating. In the 19th century, there were the natural hygienists. In the 20th century, there was Gershon, Dr. Henry Bieler, author of Food is your Best Medicine, Gary Null, a major advocate of a healthy lifestyle and author of over 100 books and award-winning documentaries on this subject, Dr. David Sinclair, Dr. Andrew Huberman, and the list goes on.

The work of great physicians and nutritionists such as Dr. Peter Attia, whose work was just featured on 60 Minutes, is helping thousands of people across the planet take responsibility for their health and “healthy longevity”.

Those folks currently experiencing diseases, imbalances would, of course, be given medical treatment, but integrated into the program would be the lifestyle changes needed to optimize health.

A nature-based, holistic approach would heal many illnesses, and the protocols of exercise with food-as-medicine, plenty of movement, enjoyment of life, walking in Nature, laughter, good social relationships, and sunshine will go a long way in addressing many of our nation’s health problems.

We’ve been medicalized!

We’ve been medicalized! We’ve been programmed. Advertising on TV and elsewhere has “taught” us that for every symptom and problem, there is a drug! So people begin to think this way, being conditioned creatures that we are. As a result, we’ve gotten sicker and sicker, in body and mind, and very disempowered.

It’s one of the great tragedies of our society, and my Administration will turn this all around.

JFK promoted a Fitness Regimen for Americans to follow. We have scientifically proven how physical movement and striving for fitness stabilize mood, alleviate anxiety, depression, and greatly enhance the quality of life and well-being.

It also radically changes the lives of our elders if they maintain a fitness regimen, even brisk, daily walking, so their bones maintain integrity even into one’s 80s and 90s and more.

In short, movement, healthy food, clean, structured water, and good rest lead to a healthy and often happy life.

Lifestyle apps. It can help us to maximize our health by helping to contribute to a real healthcare system, by keeping us aligned with our higher selves.

What will quickly become obvious is that real healthcare doesn’t cost much at all, that we’ve been pillaged and plundered for profit. The illness of greed has driven the healthcare system into the ground.

When people are healthy in their 80s and 90s, the high cost of their medical maintenance drops like a rock. When people value their lives enough to take good care of themselves, the cost of maintaining “healthy people” is vastly more manageable than the current system.

We will “return to normal” once people start eating real food, drinking non-chlorinated, non-fluoridated, clean, natural, structured water, and leading a healthy lifestyle, the way most people have for most of our species’ life on Earth.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. leads the way to a healthier, saner future

We have Bobby Kennedy to thank11 for the beginning of this new journey into health as a nation.

Kennedy has challenged the assumptions that chlorine and fluoride in our water are healthy. He has challenged the food industry and called them out on the toxins they use routinely and hide ingredients in many resourceful ways by re-naming them or simply not listing them, burying seed oils, salt, and sugar into almost everything.

He is questioning those assumptions made across the board in medicine, food, water, and the environment. Practices in Big Ag, Big Pharma, Big Chemical, and Big Food have gone far too long without scrutiny, and the ultra-processed foods, toxified water, and the assumption that these are “just fine” couldn’t be less true.

We find that it is much easier to criticize and find fault with him than to listen closely to what his purpose has been all of his professional life as a leading voice as an environmental lawyer and advocate for children’s health, and his deep knowledge of what causes illness and what ameliorates it.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., from one of the most dedicated families to public service in American history, continues that noble tradition. He, like many, has experienced setbacks in life, and he rose to the challenge of overcoming serious trauma in his early family life, with both his uncle and father being assassinated as public servants. America should have a good deal more compassion for one of our great public stewards.

It should also be said that one doesn’t have to be a doctor to know about healthcare. Indeed, many doctors know little about real healthcare but just a lot about disease-care.

Upgrading the quality of food and water

Food in this country has become so processed and refined, most of its nutrients have been processed right out of it. It can’t really be called food any longer. It’s more like the sport of chewing toxic materials for fun and flavor (sugar, salt, fat), and then it becomes a habit.

This is what has emerged as the food industry that has the purpose of Big Pharma as well, which is to make money. In fact, sad as it is to say, they are fully aware that their wares are designed to addict the individual eating or drinking their product.

In the case of Big Pharma, their goal is to keep the person on the meds for life. As mentioned earlier, Goldman-Sachs wrote the handbook about how to do this and thereby to maximize not health but to maximize profit at the patient and society’s expense.

How sick are both of these? As sick as getting paid to build prison populations for profit. It hardly gets worse.

This is what our society has come to. Nothing matters like big, fat profits. Our world has gone askew, and our true human values, so organic to us, have been put on the back burner. That cannot and will not last.

Regenerative farming will come to the forefront, and we will rebuild our nation’s health, its physical, emotional, mental, and moral well-being. My Administration would remove all these additives and make “food real again”.

Blue zones

It’s a funny observation, but blue zones are in some of the most rural and lower economic rungs in global society. The food in the blue zones is extremely simple and inexpensive. They often grow their own and wouldn’t recognize a Dorito as food, and if given one, would probably spit it out.

Meanwhile, the rich and smart U.S. devours this junk by the pound and even dares to call it food.

The irony here should not be lost on us. The same mindset extends to healthcare. There are often no hospitals in Blue Zones—people use traditional medicines and have access to such if or when needed.

Simplicity is the key to health and longevity, not spending billions on drugs, surgeries, and hospital stays. These are good when needed.

The cost of real healthcare

The actual price tag, once the above apps and regimens are implemented nationwide, will probably drop by 75-80%. It won’t happen overnight, of course not, but over a 5-year period, it certainly will.

From this, communities across the nation will thrive because people will be happier, more vital, and energized. That’s what consuming real food and water does!

Combine it with plenty of movement, be it sport, dance, weight-lifting or walking, it all activates the life-force, which itself also leads to better quality rest and sleep. These contribute to healthy living, and we all know that health is our real wealth.

Building relationships, bonding, and community builds health

The other irony in the entire enterprise we call “the healthcare system” as separate from “us” is in itself a misnomer and a shortfall in thinking. Our family and social relationships are largely what keep us healthy in the first place and keep us healthy. Usually, not even an herb, let alone a drug, is necessary.

Love, belonging, connection, and meaning, a life of purpose, the simple appreciation of life, and gratitude for it in themselves have fortified us all over and over. The science confirms that each of these contributes wholly to our health, longevity, and a life well-lived.

Consequences

We will have a robust, healthy, energized youth and an overall nation. Learning improves because attention is clearer from the increase in nutrition, rest, and movement. Moving away from screens for more time per day, in Nature away from EMFs for more time, these are keys to health and longevity.

The healthcare system we currently have will slowly diminish and lose market share. Private equity and hedge funds, which own hospitals, will begin to bleed a bit while the behemoths begin to collapse.

Some will stay because some are needed, but many will fall into desuetude.

Remember that most of human life all over the planet existed without hospitals or without doctors on every block for thousands of years. We have medicalized our society and have made it sicker.

In this new Administration, we’re going to roll that back to a state of self-reliance, use of natural healing systems, love, and abundant social relationships, and hence, a long, healthy, and blessed life.
