The gallery is pleased to present Seven colombian artists: nueveochenta at Marc Straus, a collaborative exhibition with the titular Bogotá-based gallery. This partnership brings together two spaces united by a shared commitment to fostering dialogue across borders and expanding the visibility of contemporary Latin American art.

The exhibition features seven distinguished Colombian artists: Beatriz Olano, Fernando Uhía, Jaime Ávila, Jaime Tarazona, Juan Rodríguez Varón, Luis Hernández Mellizo, and Natalia Castañeda. Together, their practices reflect the vibrancy and diversity of Colombia’s cultural landscape, encompassing abstraction, conceptualism, and socio-political reflection. While international in scope, this presentation provides audiences with a direct connection to the creative pulse of one of South America’s most dynamic art scenes.

This collaboration also signals the start of an ongoing gallery exchange between Marc Straus and Nueveochenta. Following this exhibition in New York, Marc Straus will present a group exhibition in Bogotá next year, further deepening artistic and cultural ties between the two cities and their respective creative communities.
