The 19th edition of Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam will take place from Wednesday 8 to Sunday 12 October 2025 in De Kromhouthal. This year, the fair will once again offer a wide range of contemporary art and will also present a programme based on the theme of Nature and Connection.
Theme: Nature and connection
This year's theme, Nature and Connection, invites visitors to pause and reflect on the relationship between humans and the natural world. As environmental concerns grow and our lives become increasingly digital and fast-paced, artists are turning to nature as inspiration, subject and even as material to work with, highlighting its beauty, fragility, and the urgent need to reconnect. The theme comes to life through a range of projects, including a curated display featuring works from participating galleries, an interactive mural, live painting by campaign artist Koz Dos, and a Discover Programme. For the latter, three Dutch artists have been invited to present their work: Tarja Laine, Anne ten Donkelaar, and Ben Rikken.
Emerging artists presented by AVROTROS
AVROTROS returns for the third consecutive year to showcase four rising talents from the Dutch art scene. This year, the spotlight is on four female artists: Tosja van Lieshout, Tirza Mafi, Eline Boerma, and Renske de Jong.
The skateroom x Koen Taselaar
Founded in 2014, The skateroom collaborates with some of the world's most influential artists to create art on skateboard decks with the aim of empowering international skate and education nonprofits and projects. At Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam 2025, The skateroom is launching a new series of skateboards designed by Dutch artist Koen Taselaar. Koen Taselaar creates a distinctive artistic universe filled with visual wordplay and richly layered imagery starting out with elaborate drawings and branching out into different media. In addition to Koen's designs, The skateroom also presents a unique selection of skateboards by other contemporary artists. Part of the proceeds from the sale will support international non-profit organisations and educational skate projects.
