3812 Gallery is pleased to partner with Wheelock Properties and co-present Liu Guofu: Sublime imageries at Mount Nicholson, Asia’s most expensive luxury apartment in Hong Kong. Departing from the conventional exhibition space, this collaboration transcends boundaries and showcases the malleability of home, seeking to redefine the very essence of the 'art of living' and 'living with art' by seamlessly intertwining contemporary artworks with the very fabric of home comfort.
Co-curated by Agnes Wu, Associate Gallery Director at 3812 Gallery, and Felix Kwok, Registered Auctioneer of China and Founder of Art and Culture Exchange, this private viewing, running until 29 September, showcases 11 paintings that ingeniously fuse light and air, creating a tranquil and poetic ambiance within the intimate setting of Mount Nicholson, where culture and nature engage in a harmonious dialogue.
These artworks narrate the artistic journey of Liu Guofu's distinctive style over the past decade, spanning various mediums from oil on canvas to oil pastel on paper, and compositions in ink and oil on paper. Notably, a monumental 3.8-meter-wide Cold Mountain piece is also on display, showcasing the artist's unparalleled aesthetic and the rhythmic dance of light and shadow.
