Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Jointly organised by the Seoul Arts Center and the Hong Kong Museum of Art

Jointly organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Seoul Arts Center, “Wu Guanzhong Art Sponsorship Overseas Exhibition Series: Wu Guanzhong: Between Black and White” showcases 17 pieces of Wu’s ink and oil paintings from the HKMoA collection for the first time in Seoul Calligraphy Art Museum, including the iconic Two swallows, reminiscences of jiangnan and waterway. Accompanied by insightful excerpts from the artist’s writings, showcasing Wu Guanzhong’s distinctive chromatic aesthetics on the international stage.

To complement the exhibition, Wu Guanzhong art sponsorship cross-disciplinary series: Wu Guanzhong x Chris Cheung, also travelling overseas for the first time, presents an immersive installation created by Hong Kong artist Chris Cheung. It incorporates artificial intelligence technology to blend the spontaneous brushstrokes of the audience with Wu Guanzhong’s artistic style, carrying on Wu’s innovative spirit with a contemporary twist, fostering a dialogue between the art master and the global audience.
