The Museum’s focus is the history of road passenger transport in Greater Manchester and there are over seventy buses and other vehicles on display. It is a ‘working’ museum, with as many vehicles as possible maintained in full working order.

This helps give the Museum the atmosphere of a bus garage of bygone years, lending a realistic setting to the vehicles themselves. Maintenance and restoration is undertaken by the Museum’s volunteers.
