Whether conceptual portraits and collages, deserted or man-altered landscapes, or still lives echoing Dutch masters, the works of Ulla Jokisalo, Sandra Kantanen, Milja Laurila, Anna Reivilä and Santeri Tuori acknowledge their strong identities and invite the viewer to contemplate their multiple interpretations.

It is another occasion for Purdy Hicks Gallery to bring to light the revolution the Helsinki School has brought to contemporary photography.

In celebration of the Centenary of Finland's Independence and to mark its close relationship with the School of Arts, Design and Architecture at Aalto University, Helsinki, Purdy Hicks Gallery opens an exhibition featuring the work of five Finnish artists representing three generations of Finnish photography.
