Polly Morgan

Following on from Tracey Emin’s popular collaboration with the spring edition of the fair, The Other Art Fair has announced that the special guest artist this autumn will be renowned taxidermy artist Polly Morgan.

Taxidermy as an art form is experiencing a revival and Morgan’s work is the most eagerly sought after by a host of important collectors including Damien Hirst, Thomas Olbricht, Omer Koc and Anita Zabludowicz. For The Other Art Fair, Morgan has created five limited edition hand-coloured gravure prints, featuring new works that tread the line between figuration and abstraction.

The prints are available to purchase exclusively for visitors to The Other Art Fair in signed and numbered editions of 50. Priced at £289, they present an opportunity to own an exclusive but affordable work of art by Britain’s foremost taxidermy artist.

Polly Morgan says of the prints: ‘It was important for me to hand colour them to draw attention to the contrasting surfaces, colours and textures, and to clearly define the negative space within the loops’.

In addition, The Other Art Fair is delighted to collaborate with public arts enterprise Art Below, who will be showcasing this series of work across billboard space at Regent’s Park tube station throughout October. Art Below brings inspiring contemporary art to the diverse audience who use London’s tube network daily. Viewers will be able to explore the works in 3D by downloading the free Art Below phone app created by new media artist Erin Ko.
