Abend Gallery presents 5 x 5 project XIV, the fourteenth edition of its small format exhibition series, on view July 18 through August 15, 2026. The exhibition brings together 24 gallery artists, each contributing original paintings measuring 5 x 5 inches.

The uniform format puts every artist on the same footing and turns variety itself into the show's subject. Within the same small square, visitors will find autumn trees and mountain streams, city rooftops, songbirds crowned with blossoms, a sleeping fox, water lilies, portraits, and playful still life. At this scale, each painting asks for close, unhurried attention, and the collection rewards moving slowly from one square to the next.

The 5 x 5 project began in 2015, and this fourteenth edition continues the series at the gallery's home at 1261 Delaware St in Denver's Golden Triangle.
