Rudi Molacek began his career as a fashion model, but soon moved behind the camera to make a name for himself as a fashion photographer in the 1980s. His friendship and contemporaneity with representatives of the New Wild painting movement, as well as Neo-Geo, led him to become an art collector.

Molacek’s enthusiasm and openness for new things that were both beautiful and enjoyable was by no means satisfied. His continuous engagement with his artist friends, the knowledge he accumulated as a result, primarily about painting, and his understanding of the art world led him to pick up a paintbrush himself in the 1980s.

In his works, he experiments with different materials and techniques with a lightness and playfulness. A recurring motif in Molacek’s work is flowers, a symbol of the hedonistic approach to life that also influences his work.

The collaboration ultimately demonstrates how art can shape the character and atmosphere of a space when treated as its foundation rather than its adornment. By allowing fine art to guide every design decision, the exhibition offers a fresh perspective on living with creativity—one where visual harmony, material integrity, and emotional resonance come together to form a cohesive and inspiring whole.
