In the third solo exhibition of Stéphanie Leblon in Light Cube, the artist shows that her work has become more mature and free. She builds further on her painting technique research of body in motion and how she can express this in a fascinating way through oil paint, pencil or gouache.
The distortions of moving bodies and body fragments provide smooth and simultaneously playful images. New in the work of Leblon is the usage of oil pastels in her oil paintings, which adds refinement to her compositions, but also ensures further optical deconstruction and defragmentation of the body image – the topic which has been fascinating the artist for the past couple of years.
